OC Song

This was the song i played over and over and over when i was in OC. I used it to wake up and go to bed. It was pretty mch on constant repeat. But because i pretty much blocked out that entire summer i forgot all about it until it came up on my Pandora channel like 2 minute ago. I really do love this song.

Beach at the end of the Term?

Ugggh. I'm really sick of all these paying your dues college speeches. They are getting really old.

So i officially switched my major to English - Literature Concentration. And i am happy about that. I think i will like it a whole lot more. And i already am. I went and talked to my adviser to get my hold lifted and that was good. Found out what classes i need and stuff. And got one of my 3 holds lifted.

The bad stuff came when i went to go to the spotlight ops meeting. After carrying the spotlights upstairs which started flaring up my vocal cords (No lifting heavy Objects), we sat around and learned how t use a spotlight. And holy crap i already know how but i figured i'd learn again since this is a different theater and they might do things differently. Which a couple things were but not really. Then he had us "practice" which again makes sense because all are a little different. But after like 3 minutes i was pretty done. It's not rocket science. So i went to leave and then the theater dude Tad was like so what happened to you?  and i was like what? And he was like i saw you switched your major. And i was like yep i decided i would rather do English. And he was like Well why? And i was like well i want a better home job and i don;t wanna travel and i want something that's more reliable and less physical work. And he was like well that funny that you think English will get you a job. And i was like... And then he was like i thought you liked lighting and had an interest in it. And i was like well yeah... I do... I'm not quitting it just not my major. And he was like well i thought you wanted to do lights and you have a lot of experience it seem like.

It just like pissed me off kinda. What happened to me? I took 3 theater classes! It's not like i wasn't around! I did say i would love to work on lights! Did YOU ever contact me!? No. If you really think i have a bunch of experience why would you not try and utilize it when i got here?! Dumb. And get this. This is literally the 2nd time that i have ever talked to him. What the crap!? Trying to guilt trip me!? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!!! Grrr. Screw that. Pissed me off.

On the bright side i have my computer back! I so far have lost everything because the computer people are still trying to get my files off of my old hard drive. But it looks futile i think. But i am still downloading all the things that i normally use. Like McAfee, League, Windows Updates, my printer, programming all my passwords, etc. So its coming along but taking a little while. But it is working great! Although my printer is out of black ink... :-/ oops. O'Ryan and i are going to run to the Library pretty soon to print it off.

I guess the bramble wood group is looking at getting a beach house for a couple days over spring break up in Seaside. I think it would be really fun I'm just waiting to see and make sure that it won't go through. But it should be really fun if it works out :-) So that would be like the first time that my spring break would be something really fun with friends. But this is the middle of Week 7!

Hot Damn!

I've been getting so much crap for not having posted on here! Apparently you crazy people still read this! Well alright then. I do have a good excuse for not having written in... 2+ weeks. It's this: My computer has been SOOOOOOOOO messed up. I was working on homework in a word file two weeks ago and then BAM. It just died. SO i've spent 6+ hours siting around the university computer help place getting help for it and it's pretty much in need of some help from people who know what the heck they are doing. So until it is fixed dad is letting me use his. Some updates on my life you have missed besides the obvious loss of a computer:

1. The fire alarm went off RIGHT as i got out of the shower. So i literally had 0 clothes on. So that was fun having my ears bleed from the horribly loud noise that emits from my room while i hastily threw on whatever clothes i could find. So that was fun.

2. We went to Central High school to see their play of Rogers and Hammersteins Cinderella. It was pretty good. They had a crap ton of money. Holy cow. They had lots of cool stuff but they didn't exactly utilize them as much as they could have I thought. But it was cool to see another High school production. I feel like i really like them a lot more than college ones. I know that they lack the good quality that college ones do but. I like to see people trying. Rather than actors being actors confined to a box of who they are. I'd rather see them trying new stuff and either succeeding or failing. Which brings me to 3.

3. I really am going to be changing my mind about my major. I am REALLY not enjoying my theatre experience here. I don't get to work on lights, the people are not very nice, they treat you liek you are stupid, and half the time they aren;t even doing stuff right. But they insist on having everything so precise to the point of wasting a lot of materials.... It kinda pisses me off how much the department wastes. I know they have the money to be able to but it's like really? I'm pretty sure you could donate a lot of this crap to other schools or something. It's just annoying. I will be done with my shop hours on Thursday and boy am I happy about it. I am so siccccck of it. I think i will not go back.

4. In the meantime i will be running one of 4 spotlights for Millie. I signed up before I knew what I was getting into and now i'm dreading it... I know i'll end up doing it but it seems like a lot of work for no real payout.... Especially if i'm not doing theatre... So that kinda sucks. It's just going to be a lot more work than I thought and i don;t think it is worth it. But yeah...

5. I've been hanging out with O'Ryan a lot. I don;t think that's all that shocking but since you people want to know whats up, that's usually who i'm with these days. I like it. I like hanging out with him he makes me very happy :-) Soooo yeah. He's gone this weekend with his family to go to a funeral... :-( But he will be back on Monday.

6. I am kicking a whole lot of ass in my Intro to Lit Fiction class. I lovvveee it! I'm pretty sure that it was the best test i've ever taken. I'm excited to get it back!

7. Went and saw Godspell by the High school that I designed Lights for. It was okay. It was a St.Helens play. About the quality as usual. They had some problems but every play does. I liked it though. It was good. I wish that they would have been able to utilize some more of the lighting elements that i had set up. But they kinda couldn;t because their board operator was new and kinda... bad... But thats because she is new at it. Which is fine. It's high school. But yeah. I miss being able to do stuff myself....

8. On the bright side of that OPAS is going to be in June which i will probably be asked back to help with. Barnett says i could get them to pay me. That's cool. It happens a week later than normal though which is sucky because we scheduled the cousin camping trip on that week... So now we have to look at changing it... Boo. But yeah.

9. I'm really excited to go see The Vow movie that just came out. Me and O'Ryan are doing an Arbys and Movie date night probably next Saturday. I am excited! Three wonderful things all in one night. :-)

10. I really just wanted there to be ten points... So... I came home (kinda) this weekend. But then i drove O'Ryan to Salem yesterday morning, then did some shopping at the mall, then went to Dallas for Pizza with dad and Bramblewood, then  went to WOU to play in the pep band, and then finally rode home with dad. It was a loooooong day!

Oh and everyones giving me shit for wearing light purple fizzy slipper boots all over! :-P
